Maltby Street market, a hidden gem in Bermondsey

Maltby Street Market was born a few years ago, as an alternative to the very expensive and crowded Borough Market. Some of the merchants in Borough decided to wave abusive fees and crowds of tourists goodbye, and moved their shops about a mile East, under the arches of Ropewalk in Maltby Street. The move was quite controversial and the companies that opened shops at Ropewalk were officially evicted from Borough market.

Sosban & the Old Butchers

It is mid November and I am searching online for a restaurant to have a nice dinner out during our weekend in Anglesey. Somewhere that serves local food, and that is somehow special. I quickly find Sosban and the Old Butchers. 88 reviews in trip advisor and 81 of them are ‘excellent’. Sounds good! Let´s have a look at the menu!

Where we ate in…Anglesey & North Wales!

We have been to North Wales twice, first to Snowdonia, and then to Anglesey, and we are absolutely in love with the area. The scenery and the landscapes are breathtaking, there are amazing places to eat, and plenty of farms and shops where you can buy local produce to cook at home. In fact, we usually just have lunch out, and buy whatever we want to have for dinner, to cook back in our cottage.
